The story is about this 16 year old girl called Hazel Grace who has lung cancer and she meets this guy named Augustus Waters and they go on this trip to Amsterdam to meet her favourite author.	Hazel Grace is a 16 year old girl suffers from a lung tumor. She is strong but she is shy. She lives with her parents and has no siblings. She is funny and sarcastic.
What was your favourite part in the book? Why was this your favourite part?	Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why? Why not?
My favorite part is when Augustus and Hazel go to Orangee (a restaurant) in Amsterdam.	It depends if they like romantic comedy books

It’s a handbook from the Mortal Instruments all about Shadowhunter’s which are people with Angel blood who find Demons.	Clary Fairchild is a 16 year old girl. She is shy,clumsy but loyal and strong. She has green eyes and red hair. Clary has just found out that she is a shadowhunter.
What was your favourite part in the book? Why was this your favourite part?	Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why? Why not?
I like the ways to fight, the martial arts section and the demon one too. I like them because they are interesting and they catch my attention.	It depends if they have read the Mortal Instruments

Clarys mum is ill so she travels with the shadowhunters to their home town Idris in search of a cure	Isabelle Lightwood She is a 16 year old shadowhunter and sister of Alec. Her weapon is a whip and she is funny but she can get serious when there is a situation. She is smart and awesome and tricking.
What was your favourite part in the book? Why was this your favourite part?	Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why? Why not?
When Jace kills sebastian because it was a pretty cool fight scene.	Yes because it is amazing and it is fiction.

What was the story (Or Chapter) about? (Don’t give away the ending!)- Think about the main events	Choose one main character and complete a Character summary for them.
It is about this Roman demigod Jason who is the son of Jupiter and has lost his memory, He goes on a quest with his 2 friends Piper and Leo to stop the greek giants. These three are the ones that camp half blood has been waiting for, for the great prophecy.	Piper Mclean…. She is a daughter of Aphrodite. She is kind to people who are kind to her. She stands up for herself and her friends. Her weapon is a dagger which she is really good at wielding.
What was your favourite part in the book? Why was this your favourite part?	Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why? Why not?
My favourite part is when Leo finds the wild metal dragon Fetus and when they find out he has fire powers.	I would recommend this because it is an amazing book filled with adventure and myth.

My goals for term 3!

Reading :

Where am I at with reading?

I am currently at 4p with my reading level which is the second highest you can get in your test. For my strengths I:

Correctly understand and work out the information presented

Understand what the author was trying to say.

Explore what the author wrote and question the purpose.

Why am I here with my reading?

I am here with my reading because I have practised a few things like word study, S.R.A and I have worked hard. I am also really good at reading because I usually read at home and I read pretty hard  books as well.

Where to next?

I have some things I need to work on with my reading.

Make a conclusion or an assumption

Understand and interpret what the author wrote and question the purpose

Find and understand the main idea in the text.

I hope to achieve all of these by the end of this term so I can move up a level.

Where am I at?

Well for writing I am a level 5P which is a pretty high level. I have a few strengths and here they are…

Why am I there?

I work hard at writing because it is my favourite subject because I want to be an author. I am also good at writing because I read a lot of books so it helps me to write well like the authors.

Where to next?

Well I currently have nothing to be achieved in my “ to be achieved box “ but I think I need to work on my punctuation because I sometimes forget to put a comma or speech marks in my sentences.

Where am I at?

For maths I am currently at 3A which is just above the national standard. I have a lot of strengths which are…

Classify numbers by factors and multiples, including primes,

Round numbers sensibly,

Find common factors and multiples,

Why am I here?

I am here with maths because my mum used to make me everyday do my maths like one day she would do multiplication then the next she would help me with division. Those lessons have helped me a lot and have stuck with me since year 3.

Where to next?

I need to work on some things to help me get better at maths. Here are a few things I need to work on…

Explain the meaning of digits in numbers using tenths, hundredths, and thousandths (Three decimal places),

Find a fraction or percentage of an amount,

Share quantities in give ratios,

I hope to achieve all of these because I really want to be good at maths and be more above the national standard than I am now.
